Day 2: Fes – Fes: After the breakfast, we will visit the medina of Fez el Bali with a local guide, which is on of the largest medieval sites that currently exist in the world. The hole medina has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO, its souks and narrow streets have remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Overnight at the some hotel.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga: From Fez we will go to Ifrane, known as the little Switzerland of Africa. Leaving Ifrane and in the direction of Midelt, we will stop in the famous forests of cedars in the medium Atlas, where we can find one of the last communities of monkeys from Berbería, a kind of monkey that can only be seen here and in Gibraltar. We will address to the impressive Ziz valley, passing through the limestone gorges lined with tall date palms, and mixed with the construction of adobe houses. In the afternoon we will follow the road to Merzouga up to the Grand Erg Chebi. There we will leave the 4×4 and we will ride on camels to take us to the heart of the desert and spend the night in a tent.
Day 4: Merzouga-Ramlia: We will get up early to admire the sunrise in the dunes, we will return to Merzouga and after a good breakfast we will go to the oasis of Ramlia following the runway of Paris-Dakar rally, where we will spend the night in a “haima” or to a shelter in the desert.
Day 5: Ramlia – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges: After the breakfast, we will go to Alnif where it begins the route to Todra Gorge, near the city of Tinerhir, at the end of a valley of palms and adobe villages surrounded by rugged mountains. It is one of the most famous natural landscapes of Morocco, a wall of 300 m height and close to one mile long. From here we will go to the gorges of Dades. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel located in the gorges.
Day 6: Dades Gorges – Marrakech: After the breakfast we will go to the Dades Gorge, with its gorges and canyons. During the route we will visit the Berber villages Skoura and Boutaghar located in the heart of the palm trees valley. In the afternoon we will follow the route of the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, the city of a thousand and one nights which gave its name to Morocco, where we will stay at the same hotel than the first night.
Day 7: Marrakech – Marrakech: After breakfast we will visit the city, full of locations with high cultural and architectural value, and the famous, exotic and frenetic Jemaa el Fna Square, declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, and located at the entrance of the Medina. Night at the same hotel.
Day 8: Marrakech – Marrakesh: at the appointed time, we will go to the airport and the trip ends.
